We were lucky enough to score our own to play with. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eStarward’s Hungarian Oak is the third release in our small batch series; a unique program where our distillers really let their creative juices flow and get experimental with new expressions. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWe wanted to do justice to the indulgent and sweet notes that Hungarian Oak has to offer while still putting our Starward twist on things to create something distinctly different. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFirst, we took Hungarian Oak barrels that previously held luscious red wine, and filled it with our new make spirit. We then charred a separate selection of Hungarian Oak barrels and filled it with some of our red wine barrel matured whisky, before marrying the two liquids together. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHungarian Oak is everything you’ve wanted and more. Notes such as vanilla, subtle tannins and toasted oak all come through on the palate that are synonymous with Hungarian Oak.
