Broadsheet Signature Night Sessions
Three events, three of the city’s signature dishes and a whole lot of delicious craft whisky. After dark, Melbourne-made fun is coming to Starward’s urban distillery.
Night one will be hosted by beloved pasta bar Tipo 00
Chef Andreas Papadaki is known for cooking with the techniques learnt during his time in fine diners (such as Vue de Monde), but takes an unfussy approach to Italian cuisine with clean, simple elements. Expect juniper berry rigatoni with wild boar bolognese, a rich and comforting winter favourite people will line-up for. The Starward mixologists have curated a whisky cocktail to compliment this heartwarming Tipo 00 dish.
Thursday 26 September
The second event will showcase Cumulus Inc
Andrew McConnell didn’t invent Flinders Lane as a dining destination, but this restaurant definitely sat on the crest of the wave of new and exciting openings for the strip. And there is no more recognisable dish at Cumulus Inc than the iconic slow-roasted lamb shoulder with seasonal salad – one of the restaurant’s most-ordered dishes. Starward have perfectly planned a cocktail to complete this iconic flavour journey.
Thursday 24 October
The last event will see MoVida take over the distillery.
Frank Camorra’s restaurant is responsible for setting off Melbourne’s ongoing fixation with modern Spanish tapas. What started as a casual tapas bar has, over the years, developed into an in-demand comedor (dining room) with bookings essential, often months in advance. On the night, guests will be treated to signature tapas, chosen to pair perfectly with Starward’s whisky cocktail offering.
Thursday 21 November
Each event is $35 (which includes the dish and cocktail).
Excludes tax and booking fees.
