Whisky Barrel Aged Hot Sauce - Twin Pack
A LIMITED EDITION RELEASE
Here at Starward we love Melbourne Hot Sauce’s approach to handcrafting small batch and all natural sauces. This limited release sauce was jammed full of Habanero and Jalapenos, lime, cardamom, cinnamon and bay leaves. Fresh cherries and bananas were added to the mix to shine a spotlight on the fruity and tropical characters found in our red wine barrel aged whiskies.
Aged at our Port Melbourne distillery in barrels that previously held our signature Nova Single Malt, we think this sauce is utterly delicious when splashed on a gourmet hot dog or used in a marinade for BBQ meats. Our favourite pairing? Drizzled over a bacon and egg burger stack and splashed into a Bloody Muriel (our very Melbourne take on the Bloody Mary cocktail).
NOSE / Strong pepper and shiraz vinegar upfront. Notes of cardamom and bay leaf
PALATE / After the initial heat, sweet banana and cherry characters shine through
FINISH / A definitive oak and whisky kick
