Dave's pick for this week's release is a whisky that shows fruit in full stride. First filled in November 2018 into a fresh red wine barrel, it developed layers of raspberry brightness and juicy plum. In April 2020, it was transferred into a fresh American oak hogshead, where the oak’s natural sweetness brought a smooth vanilla line to the finish. Bottled at cask strength (55.8% ABV), it’s generous, fruit‑forward and balances vibrancy with depth. It might be too delicious to share.
