'This is one of those barrels that tells a story' -Dave Vitale, Starward's Founder. We started its journey in August 2018, filling it into a fresh red wine barrel where it developed those beautiful fruit-forward characteristics. In 2020, we transferred it to a heavy char American oak Hogshead, and that's where the magic really happened, the char brought out this incredible sweet spice that perfectly balances the plum.
