Berry Into This

Starward says:
Strawberries and whisky – who woulda thought? Move over Aperol Spritz, we’re eyeing off a new summer beverage. The beauty of this one is it’s simple, and chances are you’ve got a couple of strawberries rolling around in the back of your fridge just waiting to be muddled.

Ingredients
2 Strawberries
1 tsp Honey
Juice of half a lime
60ml (2 oz) Nova
A splash of Ginger Beer

Pull it together
Slice up your strawberries and place them into a tall glass, add the honey and the lemon juice along with the Nova. Mix n’ muddle everything together so you get that strawberry juice flowing. Grab a cute glass, fill it with crushed ice and pour over the liquid using a strainer. Top it up with some ginger beer and garnish it with a slice of strawberry.

An Old Fashioned, Sweetie

Starward says:
Sure, maple syrup is great drizzled over pancakes – but have you tried it in your Old Fashioned? Now you can with this simple little number. Only a few steps, a quick stir and hey presto! You’ve got a sweet twist on an old favourite.

Ingredients
50ml (1.7 oz) Nova
10ml (0.3 oz) Maple Syrup
A few drops of Bitters
Orange Peel

Pull it together
Grab a short glass and place a big old ice cube in it – let it melt a little. In another glass, add the Nova, maple syrup, bitters and the oil from a small piece of orange peel. Stir a few times before pouring the liquid back into the glass with the ice in it. Done!

The Brown Derby

Starward says:
It’s got a bit of a questionable name, but this cocktail is a good-looking drink and tasty too! Forget your failed grapefruit diets and use the juice to give your whisky cocktail an unexpected twist.

Ingredients
60ml (2 oz) Two-Fold
30ml (1 oz) Fresh grapefruit juice
1 tsp Honey or Honey Syrup

Pull it together
Pop all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker or tall glass you can attach a lid to. Add plenty of ice, shake it off like Taylor Swift then pour it into a coupe.

Something Smoky

Starward says:
Blink and you might miss the steps in this one! Luckily, we’ve broken it down for you below. The highlight would have to be burning a sprig of rosemary for the garnish. The theatrics! The drama! We love it. We also love anything with a nice smoky finish – so this one gets our vote.

Ingredients
60ml (2 oz) Peated Finish
20ml (0.75 oz) lemon juice
20ml (0.75 oz) Simple Syrup
A dash of bitters

Pull it together
Grab a cocktail shaker, whack all your ingredients in it and give it a good shake. Meanwhile, grab a rosemary sprig, lightly singe in with a match or lighter and place it into a coupe. Pour the liquid over it and call it a day (or cocktail).
