You’ve heard of an Old Fashioned, but what about a (New) Old Fashioned? It’s a modern take on a classic featuring our New Make Spirit with an unexpected grapefruit twist. Two-Fold is our whisky of choice for this one; it’s a wheat and single malt whisky, folded together and matured in Australian red wine barrels. Two-Fold is light, fruit-forward, and downright approachable. Sure, it can be enjoyed neat, over ice or even mixed with a light tonic, but we think it really sings in this cocktail. Ingredients:
50ml (1.6 oz) Starward Two-Fold
1 tsp simple syrup
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Grape fruit wedge to garnish

Pull it all together:
Grab a mixing glass and measure out the Two-Fold, simple syrup and Angostura Bitters. Add a generous serve of ice blocks and stir everything together using a bar spoon. Take your favourite whisky glass – we suggest a tumbler or rocks glass – and add a large ice block. Strain the liquid over the ice block, then garnish with a wedge of ruby grapefruit. Ta-da! You’re basically a bartender now.
